Dinner at Atelier in Ottawa,
The place has no name on the outside, it looks like a house that has steel door, and steel grates. But once you have been there, you will keep coming back. Chef Marc Lepine does wonders with the fresh local and seasonal ingredients and adds his touch of Avant Garde techniques without being too redundant. The sommelier, aka Cork Geek does a phenomenal job of wine pairing. Now that Colbourne Lane is closed in Toronto, Atelier is the place to go to try molecular gastronomy in Canada. It rivals places like Alinea in Chicago, Comerc 24 (chef from El Bulli) in Barcelona .
